“Grace must find expression in life, otherwise it is not grace.”

My trouble is letting God's Grace (Jesus) doing the expressing and resting without being passive. Then when I wait on Him and nothing happens immediately, I worry if I have insincere faith and feel I'm abusing grace.

I feel like a dog chasing his tail at times. ;) But I absolutely refuse to go back to performance based religion.

Hi Matthew,

I appreciate your honesty. I am suspicious of Christians that claim they never struggle with their faith or have doubts. I think that church would be so much better if everyone was open and honest about their struggles. It would be such an encouragement to find out that your deacon or the pastor has the same struggles that you do and that you are not going through this alone. But no, we typically put on our "church face" and only let people see the "got it together" person that we would like to be.

You didn't say what you are waiting on God to do, but if you want to talk about it, we can do that here or you may email me directly. The link is in my profile.

In Christ,
Gary
