If it pleases you, always and only, to do what pleases God...you can do as you please!
The Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came out of heaven, "You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased."
So Jesus said, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me and He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him."
Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever.
Amen!

Gary,
This is beautiful. Simply stated, yet so much wisdom within it's words.
GRACE.
Not law/works.

Gary,
This is beautiful. Such wisdom in so few words here.
In essense, it's all about GRACE.
Not works.
Yet, GRACE freely flowing, AND RECEIVED causes one to respond with FRUIT from the heart!

It's like Terry Rayburn says at the top of his blog, "Grace Didn't End With Salvation." To me, the worst thing a man can do is to reject the grace of God and refuse to receive His son. The next worst thing is to receive His son, but then believe that now he no longer needs God's grace.
In Christ,
Gary
